For most of this year, we’ve heard scathing reports about R&B music’s young maestro Alicia Keys. I’m not going to say I haven’t been momentarily caught up in the news reports perpetrating as gossip and lies because it’s just something we have not been able to avoid no matter how hard we’ve tried.

The girl’s once squeaky clean name and image have been muddied by her current relationship (whether secret, intentional or just flat out devious) with hit-maker Swizz Beats let alone his ties to ex-wife/baby mama Mashonda.
Headline after headline, we’ve seen Alicia Keys‘ sound and soulful music hindered by sudden accidents onstage at live performances like the random spill she took at this year’s Essence Music Festival.
We’ve heard the rumors of infidelity and the notion that another Black woman has stolen a brother from another sister in the spotlight. Why can’t we keep our noses out of their relationship and let folks have babies in peace? That’s a loaded question, I know, but is it really that serious especially when we don’t really know what went down? I’m just sayin’.
Ok, now onto the real reason why I’ve chosen to inform you all today on more details surrounding the business of Ms. Keys. Now that she’s involved with Swizz Beats and expecting a baby (her first, his second if reports are accurate), Alicia Keys has now parted ways with her longtime manager and friend Jeff Robinson.
The 29-year-old Grammy Award-winning songstress, formerly represented by Robinson’s MBK Entertainment since the beginning of her career and public view, is now flying solo with no reports of who has stepped up the manager her or if that future baby daddy of hers (aka Swizz Beats) has anything to do with the business side of the alleged split.

There are multiple rumors as to why Robinson and Keys will no longer work together – far too many to name and identify easily, but we do know that a joint statement has been released by one of Keys’ two reps on behalf of the singer and her former manager notifying the music industry that the separation was indeed “amicable.”
