Mary J. Blige and Jazmine Sullivan
I have a ton of friends who claim they don’t normally go out of their way to go to concerts or live shows for a variety of reasons. Some claim they just don’t want to deal with extreme ticket prices, high traffic volumes en route to the show, bad sound or tech issues during the concert and you might even encounter a lame crowd every now and then.
Hopefully, all of that just might change real soon for myself and other R&B music fans. Why? Because we just heard that the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul herself, Mary J. Blige and young R&B singer/songwriter Jazmine Sullivan will begin touring together for a show that will surely have folks reaching for their pocketbooks and purses.
Mary, who is admittedly a really big fan of Jazmine is elated to be hitting the road with her fellow songstress. Mary J. Blige recently said, “Jazmine is one of the most amazing female singers out right now in this generation, and of course, she’s got to be a part of my generation.” She continued by adding, “She’s my sister. I love this girl’s voice and spirit. Jazmine Sullivan is for real, and she’s going on the road with me.”
