After spending about two weeks in the hospital for respiratory problems, reports of Albertina Walker’s passing have been running rampant. However, they are not true. The Gospel great and founder of The Caravans is currently in ICU, and rumors about her passing gained momentum over the weekend. On Saturday (September 4th), Walker posted on her Facebook page: “I’m still here no matter what you might have heard.”
Albertina’s favorite quotation was “I’m Still Here,” and let’s keep her in our thoughts and prayers to keep her here with us for many years to come.
