Talk about downright soulful and sexy! Whew! My fingers are on fire right now as I rush to type and get this one out to you guys. Our girl Natalie Stewart (better known as “The Floacist” formerly of the famed neo-soul duo Floetry) has finally come back to us after a brief hiatus with a blazing new track and accompanying music video for her new single “Forever.”

The song is too hot to handle if you ask me and I promise this is one record I’m going to get my hands on as soon as it becomes available. Sexy, soulful, smooth and sultry – it’s like milk and honey all wrapped up in one smoldering single you’ll soon have on repeat from sun up to sun down.

Now haven’t we been missing Natalie and Marsha Ambrosius together on the stage? Since the duo split and moved into two different music directions, has it been the same for you? I mean seriously, both are beyond extremely talented, but I’m starting to believe that both are finally getting comfortable in their own skin even though the memory of their collective efforts on hits like “Say Yes” – another dope tune for those sexy Saturday nights – are forever embedded into the soundtracks of our lives.

But let’s let bygones be bygones and stick to the here and now. The Floacist’s new single “Forever” features a very romantic video was shot recently in Brooklyn, New York and directed by Dominga Martin. The clip shows The Floacist’s lighter and more sensual direction – well, honestly it’s always been there, but this time she is just overflowing with beauty and brilliance on this new record with Musiq Soulchild. He not only shines along with The Floacist with his simplistic adlibs and background vocals, but it makes you wonder why this kind of collaboration hadn’t taken place before.

Guess you just can’t rush the magic – and trust us when we say this tune “Forever” is indeed magical. How bout we hush and let you take a look and a first listen?

The Floacist’s full length solo album “Floetic Soul” will be in stores November 9th. We cannot wait! Now enjoy!

Hear it in full here: Mariah Carey’s “Oh Santa!” [NEW MUSIC]

According to a casting call posted by Mariah Daily Journal, the video will be filmed Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Despite previous reports, her husband Nick Cannon will not direct. “I am NOT directing,” tweeted Nick. “Ur Welcome LAMBS LOL.”

The video is said to have a “slight OutKast ‘Hey Ya!’ ‘American Bandstand’ approach, perfectly blending retro and modern vibes.”

The casting ad called for a host that resembles Ed Sullivan or Dick Clark, who will introduce Mariah and her performance.

“Oh Santa!” will be included on the sequel to her 1994 “Merry Christmas” album, featuring four original songs composed by Mariah.

Now, this week we’re going to hit you with a banger. The “You Used to Love Me” singer/songwriter was stopped at a checkpoint when officers detected alcohol before arresting her for being intoxicated. At the time of press, Faith’s blood alcohol level had not yet been released. The singer then took to Twitter to check in with her fans who’d mostly all heard varying reports of what actually happened. Here’s what she had to say according to reports from Singersroom.com on Sunday evening.

“Hi Faithfuls. I am on the set of my new video for my single ‘Gone Already’,” writes Faith Evans.

“I’m sure by now most of you heard that I was detained on suspicion of a DUI. After completing a full day of wardrobe prep I was stopped at a random checkpoint. I’m fine and well, and thank you for your prayers, kind words and concerns. I can’t wait for you all to see my new video & look forward to hearing from you guys…Fizzy.”

We know this isn’t the first time Faith Evan has made news and gossip blogs light up with troublesome coverage on the singer. Back in 2004, Evans and her husband/manager Todd Russaw were arrest in Atlanta for possession of marijuana and cocaine. Some say her last full album “The First Lady” suffered because of her run-in with authorities, but will it happen again now that she’s on the promo trail for her latest musical offering?

The highly anticipated new album from Faith Evans currently entitled “Something About Faith” has reportedly been re-scheduled for release on Tuesday, October 5th via Faith’s independent deal she struck with E1 Entertainment. Concerning details of the new project, Faith Evans also spoke out about what she’s been up to lately.

“I’m really proud of it. It’s been a lot of work – especially being on an indie label. I was able to lean on whatever that something is that people like about me or respect about me or makes them want to work with me or be a part of my project. I’m very appreciative and I know that I’m blessed to be able to still be relevant.”
